Family dentist in Minneola, FL
Neola Dental is a non-corporate family dentist in Minneola. Dr. Josaida Contreras, a general dentist, sees children from age 3, teens, adults and grandparents in one office, Tuesday through Saturday. Our team speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Can the whole family see one dentist in Minneola?
Yes. Neola Dental is a Non-Corporate Family Dentistry office, privately owned, at 825 US-27 #104 in Minneola. Dr. Josaida Contreras is a general dentist, not a children's specialist, and she treats patients of every age. We see children from age 3, teens, adults and grandparents. Families also drive in from Clermont, Groveland, Winter Garden, Mascotte and Montverde.
When the schedule allows, we try to book family members back to back on the same day. We cannot promise it for every visit, so tell us who is coming when you call. The office is open Tuesday through Saturday, and Saturday hours run until 1:30 PM, which helps when school and work fill the week.
What dental care do kids get?
Children from age 3 get exams, cleanings and fluoride treatments, and the dentist watches how their teeth and bite are developing. Cavities are treated with tooth-colored fillings. If your child needs something beyond general dentistry, we say so plainly.
What do teenagers need from a family dentist?
Teens get the same checkups and cleanings as adults, plus a few things that matter at their age. If they play sports, ask about a custom-made mouth guard that fits their teeth better than a store-bought one. We also keep an eye on how wisdom teeth are coming in.
For straighter teeth we offer Invisalign clear aligners, and an exam shows whether a teen is a good fit. Aligners only work when they stay in most of the day, so the teen has to be on board. We do not offer traditional metal braces, and Invisalign is the option we cover.
Do adults and grandparents get care here too?
Yes. Adults come for cleanings, exams and X-rays, and for treatment when something needs fixing. That includes tooth-colored fillings, bonding, crowns and implants. For gum disease we offer deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance visits.
Oral cancer screening is part of the membership plans described below. Medicare Advantage plans often include dental coverage, and we accept most of the ones that do. Call before the first visit so we can look at your plan with you.
What happens at a first visit, and what if my child is nervous?
The first visit is short and mostly about getting comfortable. Your child sits in the chair, meets the team and sees the tools before anything touches a tooth. The dentist counts teeth and cleans them when your child is ready. X-rays happen only if the dentist thinks they are needed. If your child is younger than 3, call the office first.
For a nervous child, tell the truth in short, calm words, skip words like shot and hurt, and book a morning slot. Say on the phone that your child is nervous so the team can plan for it. Our guide to dental care for kids in Minneola has more.
How do we pay for family dental care?
We accept most PPO plans and most Medicare Advantage plans that include dental coverage. Plans differ, so call (352) 717-2177 and we will help you confirm yours. Our payment options page lists the other ways to pay.
Without insurance, the in-house membership covers cleanings, exams, X-rays and an emergency exam, plus 20% off other procedures except orthodontics. The Child Plan is $299 a year for ages 13 and younger, the Adult Plan is $399 a year, and every additional family member's plan is $100 off. It is a discount plan, not insurance. See the membership plans for the full list.

First time at this place was super clean and so detailed with designs. Everyone at Front desk is super sweet, genuinely nice, they really care about what the patient wants. After that I came back for a root canal with Dr. Josaida Contreras, she is absolutely the best, hands down the best dentist I found! She is super cool and makes the process so easy explains everything she's doing. My root canal and fillings she's done look perfect. Her work is phenomenal. The dental assistant Nancy is also the best she's super sweet and so relatable, she always has a bright smile and welcomes me with same energy. I have never had such a vibrant dental assistant! This place is worth it I really enjoy my experience here. I had bad experience with other places in Clermont and I'm so happy to say I found my place!
